For a Dutch pension fund I administered the entitlements of pension beneficiaries. This included informing beneficiaries of their entitlements, making custom calculations and performing mutations. It also included ancient archives, ambiguous job histories, an always evolving fiscal and legal landscape and exceptions to exceptions… Overcoming these kinds of challenges was my favorite part of the job.

HIRDA is an NGO focusing on the abolishment of poverty and conflict in Somalia. With the prospect of their 15th anniversary, I redesigned their website and designed their Anniversary Booklet. I did this at a voluntary basis.

In december 2009 I started working for the unit Life Insurances. I informed clients about the upcoming expiration of their annuities, determined the corresponding amounts receivable, made the financial transactions and prepared quotes for immediate annuity insurances.

Delta Lloyd provides insurances, pensions and mortgages. I started out as an assistant for the unit Income and Non-Life Insurances. I prepared new applications, sorted incoming mail and requests and assigned these to workflows.

This creative startup attracted me by the polished, yet grungy look and feel of their work. I helped with the concept and design of websites and created illustrations and short animations.

I started as a Front Desk Clerk and was later promoted to the position of Senior Front Desk Clerk/VIP Coordinator. As a Front Desk Clerk I welcomed and registered guests into the hotel. As a Senior Front Desk Clerk/VIP Coordinator I trained Front Desk Clerks, made arrangements for VIP’s and was responsible for credit control.
