In a time where the people are stressed over the economic down turn of this country, and every day it seems to be a civil war breaking out between “Wall Street” and “Main Street,” sports has and always will be the constant medium that brings people together. As a former Division-1 college athlete, I know first hand the power sports can have on inspiring people to do things that no one thought was possible. I have been editing sports packages for six years. In this time I have experience with both the Avid program, as well as Final Cut Pro. I have done audio editing with Pro Tools, and I have written pieces that have been published for the Elon University school newspaper. I have a wide verity of skills, and a tremendous amount of passion for the art of electronic storytelling.My life has had many blessing, and one that I have cherished the most is my ability to play football in the Southern Conference. This experience has taught me many life skills of time management, leadership, and how to work with a team to get through adversity. This is the same type of family environment that I see when I watch professional in this field, and this is the reason why I would love to learn for such an established group of people who network on this website.My whole life I felt like I have seen the world differently. Growing up I was always told that life is not a TV show and in many aspect it is not, however the way I see the world and interpret it is. For instance this moment as I am typing this profile my brain can hear what a narrator would say to describe the scene, as well as what shots would be best to grasp the drama and importance of this moment. This creativity has been a blessing that has allowed me to express myself in a creative way, and transform the unique way I see the world into a piece of media that the world can admire.
