As an educator, Malik has assisted in helping the music department at his high school as a student instrumentalist mentor, and currently teaches at Gibson school of music. Still Early in his career, Malik continues to develop his musical abilities. His focus is geared toward the advancement of his company Entertainment of the Revolutionary Artists (ERA) and his band NewERA. As a producer, Malik advances the careers of his artists by educating and providing them with a professional work environment. Upon founding NewERA, Malik prepares the band to record some of his original productions to showcase to national and international audiences. Because the players of NewERA have roots in different genres of music, their music has a unique sound, fusing primarily elements of Hip-hop, Gospel, and Jazz. The sounds of NewERA are said to be “Divine, giving off positive vibes taking the listener on a musical journey.” Currently in the process of recording, NewERA plans to release their single in early 2018. Malik works out of House on the Hill Productions, which is his primary recording facility, and with SoundsKrazy, as the headquarters for artists development.
