During this internship, I got the opportunity to intern for a show that has been on for more than 10 years, San Antonio Living as well as intern for a show that was only about three years old, Daytime @ Nine. The shows broadcast from WOAI and Fox 29, the NBC and FOX affiliate in the number 30 media market.My duties included:• Wrote, produced, and anchored a "What's Trending" segment on San Antonio Living• Wrote web content for the online website post show• Edited/cut video segments to go along with written online content• Assisted Associate Producer in Guest Relations, including verifying guest information, and attending to guest needs.• Assisted in researching/producing topics for "Today's Talkers" and "Rumor Has It"• Ran teleprompter during the show• Assisted production staff in moving set pieces and setting up set pieces• Mic'ed up guest before appearing live on the show• Assisted in field producing during live remote show from Market Square during Fiesta 2016

I served as the Journalism and Mass Communication Living-Learning Community RA. Working with the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, I planned different events and networking opportunities for incoming freshmen who were declared as a Journalism or Mass Communication major.My duties included:• Worked along 14 student-staff members to run a 400+ person residence hall• Served as a mentor and guide to over 60+ residents on a floor. • Planned successful programming that geared toward students with a media emphasis• Set up, coordinated and executed 3 field trips to different media visits in San Antonio, Texas and Austin, Texas• Communicated successfully with faculty and staff on campus to provide resources to students• Mediated roommate disputes• Successfully managed to do the RA job through time management• Effectively communicated with residents and Housing staff
