For as long as I can remember I’ve always been very fascinated by the human mind and body. Ultimatley this is what led me to pursue my degree in Biomedical Sciences and Psychology.While providing me with a very solid foundation to what I do now, I realised I wanted to work more directly with people (as opposed to research) and that’s one part of why I ventured into the health & fitness industry through the vehicle of coaching. The primary driver however is much more personal…I suffered mentally a lot in past with anxiety, depression, high standards, and an abusive relationship.Thankfully though, in my late teens and through University, I discovered the power exercise has to positively impact our mental & emotional health. Exercise, particularly STRENGTH training, got me though some very dark times. Strong body, strong mind.While it was the mental benefits that got me started, I discovered not long after the way it changed my body physically.Building muscle and strength as a woman is incredibly rewarding. Not only will you look younger, but when done in an intelligent and purposeful manner it’ll improve your bone density, support your hormones, increase energy levels, reduce pain & injuries and so much more.Ultimatley I want to empower women to BUILD themselves up, breaking free from yo-yo dieting patterns & restriction to live their happiest & healthiest life.
