I had a coordinating role with the responsibility to plan project activities, identify external partners and administer the collaboration as well as performing laboratory work. We worked on two drug projects against Alzeimers Disease (AD) and against ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). The ALS project was in the discovery phase focusing on developing efficacy assays and the AD project was in optimization phase evaluating the safety profile and bio-distribution of the molecules. The aim was to prepare our molecules for first time in man studies. The company also developed a biomarker assay for AD diagnostics. In addition, my work involved administrative duties such as data handling/storage, data analysis using excel and biostatistic programs and summarizing data in reports and presentations. Laboratory work: Cell assay development using primary cells and embryonic stem cells, method development using an ELISA based set up, direct binding assay using SPR technology (Biacore), western blot and size exclusion chromatography.

Senior Research Scientist with a focus on protein technologies such as protein purification, protein characterization and protein interaction analysis. Laboratory work: Immuno-assay development for protein quantification using ELISA and Gyros set ups. Interaction analysis using SPR technology (Biacore). Abeta-aggregation analysis using SEC and WB. Protein separation technologies for purification and fractionation. Peptide profiling using MALDI.
