From Information technology to media to travel industry, my career is one of its kind. Having made two drastic career switches and having tried all possible work profiles - employee, freelancer, entrepreneur, volunteer, I have been lucky enough to make all these career choices work for me. Here is a quick summary:As a corporate employee,My first phase in the IT industry lasted 7 years, developing software using Java, C# and Ruby programming languages, working with Polaris, i-flex and ThoughtWorks. After a decade of a break from information technology industry, I am now honing my skills in the field again on a part-time capacity, working with Sahaj Software. I left the industry as a techie (developer) in 2011 and returned as an enabler in 2020, thanks to my eclectic experiences outside the IT industry.As a freelancer,I possess experience in the field of voice-overs (Tamil and neutral English) and creative writing; especially in the areas of e-learning, radio and TV commercials, corporate and internet videos, telephone IVRs and animated content for children. I have also been a Radio Jockey for 1.5 years. I still regularly record voice-overs out of my professionally setup home studio and also conduct training workshops for VO aspirants.As an entrepreneur,2013 was the year when my dream came true - I launched my start-up in the experiential travel space - F5 Escapes. F5 Escapes focuses on all women travel and the vision is to make women travel mainstream in India in the years to come. I have emceed a number of travel and non-travel events and have delivered motivational speeches on entrepreneurship at several institutions. Covid had hit the travel industry hard but we are building back the business with greater resolve and are determined to touch even more people with our impactful work!As a volunteer,I have worked with one of India's largest entrepreneurship communities - Headstart Network (Bangalore Chapter). During my years with Headstart, I have contributed in a number of ways - content, logistics, processes, anchoring, event management, mentoring, team building, panel moderation etc. I also co-conceptualised and headed the Women Entrepreneurs' initiative .On an individual capacity, I mentor young professionals, VO aspirants, aspiring entrepreneurs and women who want to return to workforce.'Arise, awake and stop not till the goal is reached!'-Swami Vivekananda
