Malini is a graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School and the Illinois Institute of Technology, where she received an MAS in Chemistry (concentration in organic chemistry) with training in FDA Manufacturing Guidelines for Pharmaceuticals and training in spectroscopic methods using UV/Vis, AA, NMR, FT-IR, HPLC, and GC-MS equipment. In addition to her STEM training, she also has an MA from the University of Chicago, as well as BAs in Anthropology and English from The City University of New York (CUNY) Queens College and John Jay College of Criminal Justice, respectively. She has worked with graduates, undergraduates, and high schoolers from different academic disciplines and diverse ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds as a writing, English, high-school algebra, ACT, and SAT tutor. She enjoys learning and practicing French, Hindi, Japanese, and Urdu, as well as playing video games, drawing, painting, and reading novels.
