I am Malinka Kaluarachchi from Logan, Utah, and I graduated from the University of Utah in Spring 2021. My major is in Strategic Communication with a Business minor. During my senior year at the U, I worked at the Daily Utah Chronicle as a News Writer and K-Ute Radio as a Content Creator. I worked at the Department of World Languages and Cultures at the U as an office assistant. I started my Master's in Public Administration with a Public Health Emphasis in Fall 2021. I worked full-time for one year in 2021/2022 in the Office of Admissions at the U as an Academic Program Specialist. After that I began a research assistant position in the School of Medicine’s Pediatrics Department’s Clinical Trials Office and worked my way up to a full-time position as a Clinical Study Coordinator in adult neurology and pediatric trials. Now I am currently working as a Grants and Contracts Officer at the Huntsman Cancer Institute in their Research Administration department. My future goals include working in areas of government, Human Resources, or health administration where I can find the opportunity to interact with people from different parts of the world and make a contribution to society and humanity. When I'm not at the University of Utah I love spending time with family, being in nature, and I'm a huge dog lover! Below are some of the many articles I wrote for The Chronicle.
