UR (Swedish Educational Broadcasting Company) is part of the public service broadcasting group in Sweden, with Swedish Radio (SR) and Swedish Television (SVT). UR’s mandate is to produce and broadcast educational and general knowledge programmes which enhance, fill out, and strengthen the work of others active in education. UR take particular responsibility for those with disabilities and for those among ethnic and language minorities in Sweden. VisitSweden's organization has 95 employees and spans across 13 markets. As a PR and Social Media manager at VisitSweden, my responsibilities included all overall PR activities on the UK market:- Direction, planning, implementation and monitoring of promotional activities for the UK market- Creation & implementation of PR activity plans either in connection with campaigns or independently- The purchase & co-ordination of PR agency services- Budget & financial reporting for PR- Reporting to paying partnersSocial media- Responsible for the online Press Room- Responsible for VisitSweden social media accounts, on Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram and Facebook.When the maternity cover contract in the UK came to an end I was offered to continue as a consultant for VisitSweden HQ. In Stockholm Imainly worked with global PR for Sweden - the new culinary nation. I was also responsible for the coordination and planning of Sweden's award-winning official Twitter- account @sweden.

After graduating, I worked as a freelance journalist and translator. thelocal.se - Features, news and sponsored articles for thelocal.se, Sweden's news in EnglishITV - research and translation while ITV Granada were filming in SwedenVibe - features, columns and reviews for Vibe, a magazine based in MiddlesbroughI also translated the british play The Signalman's Apprentice by Brian Phelan, for Swedish theatre group Panikteatern, now performed over 100 times.

During my second year at university, I was a columnist in Cumberland News monthly supplement, ME magazine.
