About Malisa Anderson-Strait

Prior to joining Emory in 2005, she spent five years as Corporate Librarian for State Farm Insurance, managing their corporate library in Bloomington, IL. A Kansas City native, she received her undergraduate degree from Baker University in Baldwin City, KS, and her master’s from the University of Illinois in Library and Information Science. She completed her Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations from the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA. Malisa is active in the Georgia Career Development Association, serving four years on the Board of Directors. She is also a past Chair of the Insurance and Employee Benefits Division of the Special Libraries Association. Outside of Emory, Malisa volunteers on the Board of Directors for the Friends of Tucker Path, and is an active volunteer and past board member for Tucker Civic Association. She has completed over 70 marathons in 35 states and hopes to complete one in all 50.
