Responsibilities:- Carry out, review and manage mechanical design on various process improvements. - Submit a scope of work for each project that includes budgetary numbers and the goal of each program.- Solicit vendors, service providers and other support groups to maximize plant reliability.- Use computer-aided design/modelling soft wares to design components parts and machineries. - Perform the required Finite Element Analysis, FEA, and Failure Mode Effects and Analysis, FMEA, to evaluate the designs' robustness and durability.- Use different methods of problem-solving to find the root causes of issues to prevent future failures.- Repair and maintain the advanced sorting machines and understand it’s mechanisms.- Retrieve data from the sorting machines and analyse to evaluate performance and bugs.- Improve the plant efficiency through innovative engineering designs including automation and process modifications.- Provide sound engineering input to scheduled and breakdown maintenance activities within short duration and communicate and order required accessories from the manufacturers.- Ensure statutory compliance is maintained in respect to mechanical equipment installation and maintenance.- Preparation of mechanical factory layout required for plant modification and future extensions.- New machine design and development required to develop AI-enable robotic systems.- Setting up measuring and testing equipment and sensors need to monitor the factory operation and gather data for AI training.- Develop database require to train AIs using infrared sensors and images and Train AI algorithms to identify and sort different types of plastic.
