After my graduation in 2002 as an Electrical and Computer Engineer, I began my career working in Academic Research and R&D. My main responsibilities were design, analysis and implementation of detection (Forecasting, FFT, ROC Optimization) and tracking (Statistical Learning, Bayesian Estimation) algorithms for signal/data processing. I initiated with my doctoral thesis (Dr.Eng., 2005) the development of an innovative counter-stealth distributed sensor network for the Defense industry. Furthermore, I was a key person for Competitive Intelligence and the promotion of the technology, and worked on the exploration of the Product Life Cycle and the Project Effort Estimation. INTRACOM DEFENSE submitted a €4M proposal about the development of one full scale operational system, supported by a prototype to increase awareness, under a roadmap of national-level deployment of networks. Then I decided to leave the Defense industry, demonized at the time in Greece, and embark on small-business ventures. I co-founded in 2009 a company (A&P Engineering) which evolved, with the use of Search Engine and Content Marketing, to a national EPC solar contractor with many installations in its assets. The company became one of the most recognized building-applied photovoltaics companies with annual revenue up to €600K. The activity declined abruptly after a drastic "feed-in tariff" cut. Afterwards, starting from the pursuit of cross-border eCommerce, I participated in the foundation of an omni-channel food retail company (not just greek salad Ltd). The concept was based on an innovative approach of online/offline interaction in Marketing and PR to increase sales of CPGs from local brands. The project ended cause substantial extra capital was needed to achieve positive cash flow.In 2014, I started investigating business opportunities in Analytics and consulting tech companies on Data Management and how to leverage their data by applying Advanced Analytics (Statistics/ML). Since then, I am technically leading and managing the development of large-scale data-centric Applications on-premises and in the Cloud.
