I worked within the head office finance team based in Jeddah, where I achieved the following:- Supervised and guided a small collection team, who successfully adapted to my collection strategy and met the target;- Increased the collection speed of the newly-issued invoices by collecting the amounts of over 85% of these invoices within one-month period;- Reviewed and approved the fee notes (invoices) and the receipts on a daily basis to make sure that the customers' accounts are correctly updated;- Reviewed the customers' files on a monthly basis to ensure that the credit granted to each customer is still reasonable based on the customer’s history;- Controlled and reconciled the accounts receivable control account of each branch in a timely manner;- Prepared the ageing reports on a monthly basis as well as when requested by the management;- Assisted the finance manager in preparing accounting schedules in addition to other regular tasks, related to the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings, such as recording adjusting entries for the prepaid expense and depreciation accounts as well as bank reconciliations;- Made a large contribution to the data-migration project, ensuring data integrity while transferring the data from the old system to the new one implemented – Vision;- Updated the non-current assets register and recorded the relevant entries in a timely manner;- Liaised with the company's external auditors during their tasks in the office.
