The founder of MALKA, a unique and exclusive designer wear brand, has a rich and diverse background in the fashion industry. Graduating from the Academy of Design (Northumbria University UK) in 2012, she began working with the Sri Lankan design festival (SLDF), now known as MBFW, as a designer and event coordinator.Over the next seven years, she gained valuable experience by working as a designer for various international brands, including SuperDry, Calvin Klein, Puma, Guess, Tommy Hilfiger, and many others. Alongside her design work, she was also responsible for planning and organizing events for leading companies, such as brand launches, fashion shows, and corporate events.This challenging and exciting journey provided her with a wealth of knowledge and experience, which inspired her to create her own unique and exclusive designer wear brand, MALKA. With a vision to introduce Sri Lankan local crafts to the world, and a mission to establish MALKA as a leading global designer wear brand, she is committed to promoting sustainable and ethical fashion practices while proudly carrying the "Made in Sri Lanka" label.
