I have always had the knack for integrating seemingly divergent fields. For example, computer engineering with poetry, Indian classical music with Rock n Roll, MBA with short-story writing, track racing with tranquility. At present, I am at the helm of an organization that marries high-tech with high-touch, to provide unprecedented value in staffing industry. The imperatives to balance the opposites, the preservation of the valuable and the will to challenge the status quo have always stoked my fire. At Esso, it was making space for client/server architecture in a mainframe world. At Rogers, it was preserving the old horses IMS and VSAM in a mercurial IT shop. At Sunnybrook Hospital, it was harnessing technology to aid the ailing patients and the devoted care-providers. Going deeper into the union of technology and healthcare enabled me to design systems for predictive analysis of breast cancer at Odette Cancer Centre, comparative study of treatments of Polycystic Ovaries Syndrome at Women's College Hospital and helping implement a wait-times tracking system at hospitals Ontario-wide for e-Health Ontario. This itch for uniting the divergent has brought me to the helm of ProViso where we are creating a wave in the staffing industry. Our target is the sweet spot between highly personable service and innovative technology solutions - what we sportingly call the 'high touch-high tech imperative'. That is for the tech visionary part. As for the life visionary, I seek to apply the principles of design thinking to the primordial questions of the human lot - Who am I, how am I doing, where do I come from, where am I headed, how am I living and what am I leaving behind. If you dig discussions on the art of life, or have the heart for creating an impact, let's connect!
