Hello! I am a recent graduate from UCSB with a B.S. in Financial Math and Statistics and a minor in Feminist Studies. In addition to my robust academic foundation in statistics, mathematics, and data science, I am proficient in R, SQL, and Python programming. I have exemplary presentation, written, and verbal communication skills. I believe that good design, thoughtful interpersonal connections, and effective communication are among my most vital tools for doing impactful work. I've completed a fellowship with the NSF Central Coast Data Science Partnership. As a fellow, I trained in best practices for data science, statistical analysis, and machine learning. I also collaboratively developed a capstone project sponsored by CalCOFI — an interactive RShiny Application exploring the spatial and temporal variance of key parameters in 50+ years of oceanographic data. I continued on with CalCOFI for an internship project where I analyzed 70+ years of oceanic oxygen data and created a "scrollytelling" webpage to inform laypeople about ocean warming and de-oxygenation trends.I worked at UCSB's Department of Women, Gender, and Sexual Equity for most of my college experience. I demonstrated astute people and program management skills in my role of Volunteer and Mentorship Coordinator — recruiting, training, and leading a team of my peers; interfacing with senior colleagues and external organizations to expand department reach, and innovating new ways to support the campus community during virtual and hybrid learning. I was awarded the University Award of Distinction upon graduation in recognition of my contribution to the UCSB campus community.I am eager to start my career in roles that draw on my technical training and project management skills.
