After being on staff for three years, my experience gained me the position of aquatic manager at the Park Ridge Park District. Out of over 150 employees on staff, only 15 were selected to be managers. Through this role, I gained insightful lessons and experiences through maintaining an environment that over 1,000 patrons visit every day. This job forced me to mature through my position and run the behind the scenes of the pool rather than perform as a lifeguard. Within this role, I was responsive for creating social media posts for a women's real estate company. For each post, I used strategies to engage clients through events, opportunities and promotions. With my interest in marketing, this experience helped me further my skills in the real world. It gave me the opportunity to see firsthand what goes on behind the scenes before media is published.
