In this position, I oversaw all activity related to the Justice Collective, managed its daily operations, and provided regular updates to the Executive Director, basically acting as his "right hand". I also doubled as an Executive Assistant to the Executive Director when needed (including calendar management, takingnotes in meetings, and communicating with the rest of the team on his behalf). I assisted in the creation, writing, and distribution of the monthly newsletter, and managed all of its technical platforms and helped create all communication and marketing plans.I practiced leadership by helping manage the team of 5-7 people and working closely with interns and other staff members to ensure tasks happened efficiently and effectively. Finally, I held some financial responsibility by assisting in the yearly planning and processing of department budget.

I completed this internship as part of my ministry school experience at Bethel Church, Redding. I mainly completed administrative tasks and helped with event planning. During this time, I stepped into the role of my mentor while she had unexpected travel throughout year. The Executive Director of Justice Collective and the Founder of NCAT hired me afterwards as his Operations Director, a role I served in for about two years.

In this position, I directed and managed all activity at the Schenley Square Community Hope Mentoring program, which included conducting ongoing administrative duties and managing key relationships within the program. I also created weekly newsletters to update key stakeholders and mentors, managed student records and program databases, and created marketing and communication pieces.I also assisted in the recruitment, training, supervision and evaluation of two Assistant Site Coordinators and interns. I engaged in fundraising efforts to help our YMCA branch reach its goal of over two million dollars annually. Finally, I recruited, trained, supervised, and evaluated over 150 volunteer mentors, while developing and implementing daily curriculum and literacy activities for over 40 students daily.
