While attending Tabor College, I worked to sharpen the skills that I need to become a better and more professional communicator and entrepreneur. I am excited about the opportunity to create my personal brand in the wedding industry. I have learned to apply my accounting knowledge for the betterment of my business, as well as how to communicate professionally in a team-oriented industry. My previous student-work positions at Tabor College have given me the opportunity to build both hard and soft skills while working with a variety of mentors and co-workers. In my internship for the school's Business Office, I had to sharpen my skills of decision making and rationale, and have also become a better communicator of how to understand the professional world. As a Marketing Manager for the college's Music Department, I learned more about the analytics of social media and how it can affect the public's image of your brand. I have also been successful in organizing events for the department to foster a healthy and supportive relationship with local business and the community of Hillsboro.
