Old soul who values tech. Expert in ELA content, open to building capacity in other areas, and always trying to learn something new. Never one to shy away from a challenge. Supporter of the Oxford comma. The tactile experience of a paper novel in my hands while drinking a cup of hot tea is unmatched for my old soul. But I consume digital information through various tech platforms at an almost constant pace. It's intoxicating. And it ignites a fire in my nerdy old soul to bring it all together for a new age of learners. I'm looking for a seat at the right table. Using data for 600+ learners, I collaborated with a team to develop a training strategy with corresponding curriculum and materials achieve organizational and individualized goals. As a team, we created targeted learning materials and assessed existing EdTech programs to implement within the program. Through data-analysis, I was able to group individual learners with like-needs and organize staff based on knowledge and skills. I produced and delivered train-the-trainer materials to ensure success in the program through readiness and team buy-in.In response to the pandemic, I redesigned curriculum and materials to grant equitable access to both virtual and hybrid learners. Collaborating with another district leader, we digitized all learning materials and adapted educator-facing curricula to a learner-facing model to ensure equal success with virtual and in-person learning. Our model included self-paced lesson delivery through digital platforms, instructional videos to alleviate gaps in instruction, and support guides and professional development for other educators and administrators to move to digital platforms for learning.
