I am passionate about driving community engagement through sports, and love watching strangers turn into friends. I am experienced in planning and administering quality children's and sport programs. I work well as a part of a team or able to lead with a strong focus on organization and completing the task on time and on budget. Through coaching, I have developed the ability to promote teamwork and mentor leaders. I have a passion for the outdoors and enjoy sharing the experience with the youth I work with; there are few things greater than scratched knees and dirty faces with huge smiles and memories that last a lifetime. As Head Coach I directed the fall sevens and spring 15's programs for Jr. Boys, Sr. Boys and Varsity Girls. I coached approximately 50 athletes per season teaching them basic skills, safe contact and set piece techniques, game strategy, communication, how to work as a team and sportsmanship. I maintained administrative standards set forth by the TDSB, completing detailed practice logs and game sheets. My greatest accomplishments as coach were:~ Having a player who could not complete a lap around the pitch due to the fact that she smoked a pack of cigarettes a day at the start of fall sevens, cut back to two cigarettes a day by the end of the season. By our spring 15's season she had quit smoking and joined the school's fitness club in the off season; and~ While I was Head Coach the athletes called all teams "the Family". This family consisted of freshmen and seniors, from all different ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
