I am a third grade teacher, and this year I will be teaching all content areas. This includes a health unit, math, science, social studies, and language arts which is broken into a reading and writing section. This is my first year as an elementary educator working independently. The curriculum we currently use is, Trophies, and Math Expressions. In my reading program I am incorporating the Daily 5 and Cafe model with Trophies. The Lucy Calkins reading and writing program is currently being piloted by another third grade teacher. We are not under the PBIS Framework system but I use a combination of Conscious Discipline as well as PBIS to manage my room. This school offers many ways to make independent decisions on the operation of the classroom so I will be able to test many different strategies.

I assist the children with activities and monitor their play time to be sure that the children are being safe, gentle and kind to each other. Also I monitor the children's safety by adhering to diet restrictions due to food allergies.

I take photos of guests coming to the Milwaukee County Zoo. As visitors enter the zoo I ask them if they would like their photo taken and then take the picture. I also work the cash register for customers who wish to purchase the photo.

I assist residents with their Activities of Daily Living. This includes, group activities, changing soiled clothes, ambulating residents, and assisting with other activities required for a healthy and happy life.

I watched over an 11 year old girl and 7 year old boy in Germany for one summer. In the morning I would assist the family with preparing breakfast. In the afternoons, I would pick the children up from their schools and prepare lunch for them. After lunch, I would take them to their after school activities such as soccer practice and flute lessons. When the parents were gone in the evening I would get the children ready for bed time. Finally I assisted the children with their math and English homework.
