Those are the principles I live by as a paralegal who shows up every day ready to support my attorney and clients in the best way possible. I’m an army brat with a passion for the legal field and a desire to learn something new on a daily basis. My background in administrative work as well as my education and Paralegal certification supplements my experience in a way that allows me to dive into roles with confidence and grace. Being a military child, I developed the ability to adapt to my circumstances, which has been a tremendous asset in my career. Throw me in, coach, and I’ll figure it out.I’ve found excitement and joy in the fast-paced environment of litigation, and I’ve found a passion for efficiency in the routine of transactions. In my current role, I’ve taken the time to develop connections in my local Bar Association and paralegal community. I’m a member of the Texas Panhandle Paralegal Association and the Amarillo Area Bar Association. Building a network is an asset to myself, and to my work. My experience in social media marketing prompted me to start a TikTok page dedicated to providing advice to other paralegals and legal assistants. I’m currently working on a series of videos wherein I invite viewers to study with me as I prepare for the NALA Certified Paralegal Exam. Currently, my work involves supporting my supervising attorneys in facilitating commercial transactions. We coordinate with clients and close loans on a weekly basis, and I’ve developed a system that allows me to routinely anticipate the needs of my supervising attorneys. Building a workflow and understanding the “why” behind what I do allows me to be highly efficient in the work I do, and thus decrease the mental load of those I support.I look forward to a career filled with challenges and the joy that comes with overcoming and working through them.
