Developed portfolio of world-leading projects (~ 10M€/y) and partners ranging from pioneering start-ups / SMEs such as CarbonDelta (acquired by MSCI), Southpole Carbon Neutal Investments (acquired by ISS), Beyond Ratings (acquired by London Stock Exchange), and Acclimatise (acuired by WillisTowerWatson) to market-shaping think-tanks/NGOs (CDP, 2ii, GoldStandard, etc), to leading academic institutions (Imperial, ETH, PIK, etc.). Built and led a team of 8 across EU.

Responsible for German - and later also Polish - activities (~ 10M€/year, team of ~20). Led the growth of the German accelerator that supported over 100 start-ups who have by now raised more than 1B€ (e.g. tado, Thermondo, Lilium, zolar, green city solutions, Emmy, Lumenaza, sirplus, solandeo ...).Responsible for a large muliti-stakeholder flagship program on enabling CO2 capture and reuse.Spun out Climate-KIC GmH in 2015 as the first local legal entity in a Europe-wide large restructuring program that created a holding company with 10 local subsidiaries.

Co-responsible for developing the Innovation strategy and project portfolio (annual budget of ~18 million)Co-leading a matrix team of about 15 employees across all locations in Europe. Thematic focus on metrics & finance, sustainable land use, cities, industrial emissions.

Led a research group with the aim of understanding the impacts of climate & energy policy on innovation.

Helped build a large research group focusing on sustainability management.Analysis of how the carbon markets (i.e. especially the CDM and EU ETS) led to innovation and technology transfer for clean technologies. Awarded with the ETH medal for outstanding disserations.
