I focused on developing and producing prototypes for my acoustic lighting design, which was selected as the winning entry in a design competition. Additionally, I contributed to various design projects for the company, generating innovative solutions that aligned with the companies goals and objectives.

I supported studio operations by maintaining equipment, managing material inventory, and ensuring a safe and organized workspace. I assisted students with materials, guided them in using various machinery, and provided support for 3D printing projects, helping them troubleshoot and complete their designs.

I work as a teaching assistant for the following industrial design courses:Materials and Processes, Design Process, Design Mobilization, Product Placement & Presentation

I was part of a summer co-op team who assembled four of the studio’s first 3D printers, working closely with our supervisor over a 3 month period. While building the 3D printers, we also designed and manufactured improvements for the studio, such as a laptop station and stand.

Working with the senior conservator, I assisted in assessing and documenting heritage lighting fixtures from Parliament Hill’s Center Block restoration project. I documented incoming fixtures, noting areas of concern, capturing detailed photos and notes, and completing assessments reports for each fixture.I also led an archiving project for heritage architectural lighting drawings. I independently researched archiving protocols, managed contacts with institutions, and facilitated options for digitization. I created several digitized and searchable assets of heritage books, documents, posters, and media.

My role involved conducting detailed examination between prototype designs, and noting all changes. I collaborated closely with the CEO in regular meetings to ensure accuracy and alignment with project goals. I presented my findings in a comprehensive R&D journal, which included clear, annotated visual renders and detailed written documentation of each design evolution, change rationale, and timeline.
