It has diversified into making VR/AR productions.The role is working alone to maintain the entire company infrastructure including the Mistika post production suite, hundreds of TBs of storage and maintaining an in-house application called Thera. Interacting with users and vendors, troubleshooting issues that arise. Documenting the infrastructure..My main responsibility is managing the network: configuring Netgear switches; configuring Juniper network devices; administering Linux file & application servers (CentOS 7); managing a FiberChannel StorNext SAN, along with Samba and NFS. Maintaining Docker containers and KVM virtual machines.A major project has been investigating and documenting the entire infrastructure as there was little documentation available on my arrival and no handover. Have created a knowledge base using GLPI IT management software and FusionInventory. Did bare metal Linux installs using Kickstart.I was employed specifically for my Linux expertise, did a lot of work with Bind for DNS and spam-proofing email servers. I migrated the busiest and most heavily spammed email server from Sendmail to Postfix. Did monitoring of sites, services and servers with Nagios, writing my own health checks. This is when I started to do serious Bash shell scripting.
