When I was young, I wished I was a doctor. I wished I had helped African people to get better healthiness. But Computer Science and economics were the only interesting options available to me back when attending University of Montreal (Canada).Back to Africa, I realized in my day-to-day work experience, that young African people actually develop high tech skills. To me, it was critical to give all these talents opportunities to become leaders.Now I am quite satisfied to be able to recruit those young talents, to coach them throughout their careers.I strongly believe that innovation is the key success for any organization including financial institutions. Back when I did an in-depth analysis of customer needs and the banking environment in most African banks, I realized that disruptive innovation must occur in order to stay competitive.These were the main issues that needed to be improved: Slow Account Opening and Loan processus, poor customer experience and service quality in branches. I said to myself this type of procedure cannot continue. So that was a practical issue that needed to be solved. And I said to myself adopting digitalization is actually the solution to help fix those problems.I was so convinced, I even had begun to think about a tool combining customer experience and workforce productivity concerns. I was thinking of a model whereby both customer and company employees could be empowered enough to increase efficiency.So my challenge was to build a customer-centric solution by reinventing the banking business model. I then harnessed endless opportunities utilizing technology to create that tool I named… obviously Customer Corner.That is a 100% digital tool design to revolutionize the way we’re delivering bank services. This tool is somehow my baby in professional life and I do intend to grow it up.Fortunately some financial institutions are utilizing it to deliver more value to their customers through personalized service bys as they all said “moving the bank to the customer”. Now that's done, Business leaders are requiring my advisory services to definitively embrace digital transformation, especially in retail banking industry.
