Come check our studios out!I've built the software systems that tell hardware what to do and in some cases I've even built the hardware! There are multimedia servers playing real time 4K 5.1 content, custom built aroma therapy scent machines, dynamic RGBW lights, advanced HVAC systems, and so much more.The focus when designing the technology platform has been on reliability and automation. Each location has redundant software systems, fail over hardware devices, multiple routes and access points, local copies of content, and it can all run without connection to the internet. Each location can be deployed and managed remotely by a very small support team through a central control system.The central control system handles more than just the real time chat support. This system can control devices directly, pull log files, update software and firmware, keep track of consumables and inventory, build out the schedule and keep track of time cards, handle access control credentials, and surfaces real time hardware and software issues by location.I've also designed and built tools for our Post Production team to control and customize lighting and aroma therapy events to go along with the content they are creating. These tools tie into the media encoding pipeline that I've put together that takes mezzanine files and transcodes them into formats for use in our studios, our website, and our app.

I created internal tools to streamline and automate tasks and workflows within our Live Production team. These tools talked to one another via Socket.IO and shared data from MongoDB and S3. They allowed multiple users to view the same data as it was being updated by other users in real time cutting down on duplicate work and wait times. Some pages connected to third party physical hardware over the network to pull data during our live productions. These tools also generated automated PDFs and could add markers and notes into Adobe Premiere from information gathered during the live production. From one of the tools our final video files were uploaded to S3 to be transcoded and processed using AWS services along with FFMPEG and some custom scripts.

As hire number five, I was on the ground floor and had a major hand in building this company. I built our Post Production workflow and standardized formats. Set up storage servers and networking equipment. Worked on live productions and helped with streaming, signal flow, and what gear to use to get everything to work. I created scripts to automate and assist in our live production workflows and started building our our internal tools. I ended up creating new roles that our company needed to grow and interviewed, trained, and managed staff. When we opened up our San Francisco location, I was helping out with the blueprints and spec'd and purchased the gear needed to get our live productions off the ground.
