Hospitalist Physician Assistant at university of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center.• Successful completion of post- graduate 6 months training program designed for acute care hospitalist role with Adfinitas Health at the beginning of employment. • Experience with Admissions including obtaining H&P, result interpretation, formulating diagnosis, ordering tests and executing plan of treatment. • Experience with rounding on medium to high acuity patients and independently making decisions on plan of care. • Experience with managing patients with variable health problems including, CHF exacerbation, Arrythmias, COPD/Asthma exacerbation, Pneumonia, PE/ Acute DVT, Pancreatitis, Acute CVA/ TIA, Seizure disorders, Post-op orthopedic/ spinal surgery and general surgery patients, etc. • Experience with placing sub-specialty consults when appropriate, coordinating with pharmacy, case management, primary care providers, initiating as needed transfer to tertiary care in order to optimize patient care. • Participating in daily multidisciplinary rounds • Experience with discharge planning and coordinating safe discharge to home, SNF, LTAC or tertiary care as needed.
