I am hired as a Crisis and Security Consulting intern, however I work very closely with the GRA and Ops departments.Key responsibilities• Work closely with the CSC department, conducting site reviews and security consultations at client properties.• Compile thorough reports and present information to stakeholders. • Proofread and edit colleagues’ reports and provide verified summaries on a variety of topics.• Work closely with the operations department, identifying contacts all across west Africa to carry out tasks for different clients, including journey management and protective services. • Modernize the internal financial Excel spreadsheet to ensure better readability and usefulness.• Lead the vetting and onboarding process of numerous large multinational organizations / international subcontracts, having embarked on an independent learning process that required much self-study and research.• Update various documents for the Ops department, such as client travel procedures.• Work with international clients and sub-contractors, making valuable connections all over West Africa for services such as transport, protection, journey management, accommodation, maritime transport and subcontracting. • Verify data on Seerist Core and collaborate on social/political/security climate high value reports for specific areas and regions, also summarising verified GRA reports for use in CSC reports and client briefings within a short turnaround time. • Generate concise reports detailing critical information, showing ability to efficiently sift through large amounts of data.• Organise and manage sub-contractors remotely in countries such as Guinea, Sierra Leone, Nigeria and Niger while based in Lagos.• Carry out tasks both in person and remotely depending on business requirements, due to the need for travel and stay at home orders during the elections.
