Business Intelligence data analyst in the Enterprise Data Warehouse for a pediatric hospital ranked among the top 10 in the nation in all pediatric specialty areas. Primary responsibilities include identifying opportunities for data integration throughout the organization and assembling rapid prototypes of data solutions to address specific organizational initiatives. • Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external business partners.• Collaborate with business partners to define data analytic needs and the best method for analyzing data whether through a visualization tool such as Tableau or through a Business Objects universe or both.• Gather functional and technical requirements for various strategic organizational initiatives including Target Zero, Patient Satisfaction and Clinical Effectiveness.• Identify appropriate data source(s) and data elements, perform data extraction, configuration, integration and augmentation of data.• Develop and run test plans to ensure accuracy of data.• Work with developers to define data architecture, security and access.• Deliver clear and comprehensive documentation for every aspect of a project including STTs (source to targets), user stories, use cases, project tasks in Jira or SharePoint, program or project documentation, workflow diagrams in Visio, SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) documents for project requests, test cases, etc..• Facilitated design discussion and built EDW departmental internal SharePoint site for project and operational documents including the migration of documents from shared directory to SharePoint for versioning and backup.• Collaborated with manager to develop, document and publish several departmental processes including the New Project and Change Control processes.
