We developed Pakistan's first major Football Fantasy League based around FIFA World Cup 2010 in collaboration with Clear Men. I was primarily responsible for the technical development & deployment of the web portal. Although I wasn't much of a football fan, the project offered a wealth of challenges and absolutely uncharted territories for me to explore, and it was indeed a massive learning experience. I played a key role in devising the football player rating & pricing algorithms from the ground-up that needed to stay valid throughout different phases of the tournament. Also developed the player trading & exchange mechanics based on our unique game mechanics optimized for the Pakistani audience. All these complex algorithms finally resulted in a successful product launch, offering a completely seamless experience for the users. The project was a big success as we managed to engage more than 1/3 of the total football fantasy league audience from Pakistan!
