About Massimo Modesti, Ph.D. (He/Him)

BIOGRAPHY: 20 years-long experience in Informal and Non-Formal Education, Project Management, Community Empowerment & Engagement, and Social Research with an Ethnographic Approach. I apply social research methods to assess organizations and their effectiveness and tools developed in Education and Anthropology to facilitate individual, group, and companies' personal, professional, and community development. As an educationalist and development expert, throughout my career, I have dealt with disability, immigration, mental health, HIV, gender, and sexuality both in terms of empowerment and social inclusion. I have published scientific articles and essays in books and journals, in particular in "Anthropology of human rights", "Migrant parents", "From words to facts" (ed. V. Maher), "Special education in Europe" (ed. A. Lascioli), and "I can read too" (ed. F. Larocca, L. Sangalli).I am a certified EU Aid Volunteer with a Project Management and Capacity Building experience in Nepal in the field of rural community development. In 2021, I joined Ayzoh! APS: I deal with educational programs focusing on community photography, content writing, and text editing. Since February 2022 I have been involved in the Albagnano Healing Meditation Center as a member of the Executive Committee and recently as a Volunteer Coordinator. Furthermore, as an educator and educationist, I coordinate educational programs aimed at children, parents, and educators.I am building connections worldwide to promote development cooperation, with a focus on Asia, particularly Nepal and the Philippines.
