Final semester training at C-Dot Akbar Bhawan was my first exposure to Telecom. Later I worked with Telecom BUs @ Wipro, Escosoft, Mantas, HCL & Nokia. Worked on in-house & 3rd party Mediation & Provisioning Apps. Handled various business use-cases like MNP roll-out, advent of 3G, provisioning of Blackberry, addition of new numbers beginning from 7 & 8. Beyond OSS/BSS, I wrote IVR application/Auto-dialer prototype using Dialogic boards. Led the setup of an IP Phone verification lab. While doing Telecom Technology & Management program at IIT Delhi, I got a 360-degree view of Telecom space - Spectrum Auctioning process, calculation of Tarif/ARPU, role of MVNOs/OTT players, commercial Satellites, Regulations & Policies and a lot more.Post 2015, my focus shifted to a completely new domain & new skills which helped me to seize a great opportunity. Under my startup, I got an India dev team setup for a UK based company. We converted their idea and design into a product running on IBM iSeries. We were remote in pre-Covid era. It was a very special small team, hand-picked by me that comprised of efficient Software Engineer Moms returning to work after long breaks and hungry College Interns. This phase made me fully hands-on once again after investing 6 years in Pre-Sales & being Customer's SPoC. But this time the tool was not C++. I wrote the core engine in RPG on AS400, Node/Express based backend Services/APIs, and contributed in the React/D3 code that rendered the frontend. My client sold product rights to a Switzerland based company and my entire team was picked by Swiss fellows. Five years full of adventures, learning and contentment.My journey took another turn when I started working on an EdTech platform. A chance to experience online education space, very different from the world of Telecom OSS/BSS & Legacy Systems, it made me to completely align myself with the ecosystem of hosted SaaS products, B2B and B2C delivery landscapes, and the magical Cloud Infra behind the scenes.Currently, I work with Clients and Firms as a Freelancer Tech Lead. Have successfully converted several ideas into Web/Mobile Apps. Also doing LLM based PoCs using LangChain framework.I am passionate about mentoring College Interns. I often blog about – emerging Tech, Policies, Solutions etc. And yes, I love to scribble & narrate poetries in हिंदी.
