Working in the Industry Engagement and Partnerships Office within the NTI to attract and engage with KAUST, utilizing different offerings available to the industry, including research collaboration projects, technology commercialization, KICP membership, KRTP tenancy, and student employment.Explore the opportunities for collaboration between the Industry and Government cross functionally along with the engagement team.Develop a strong presence for NTI in the relevant local and global organizations.Explore potential outcome channels of engagement (training, research, consultancy, NDA, KRTP, Core labs services, Technology licensing, etc.)Support the innovation ecosystem within the region by understanding and assessing current needs to facilitate within the relevant channel across KAUST.Support creating a CRM system and database of NTI external clients for mutual collaboration.Create a CRM system with KAUST startups and build multiple communication channels to promote their technology with NTI internal and external events.

Play a crucial role in engaging with KAUST faculty and researchers to craft critical, innovative technologies and products to strengthen the offerings of KAUST to its partners locally and globally.Develop links between industry, government, and KAUST to establish strategic partnerships with entities of mutual interest.Engage industry and government with KAUST research, including defining and developing collaborative research projects leading to sponsored research agreements.Support technology scale-up and commercialization and promote KAUST’s talent pool to industry partners.Monitor implementation of all agreements signed by KAUST (NDAs, MoUs, MRA etc.) with local and global organizations as part of KAUST’s technology commercialization and economic diversification efforts.

Meet the Industry program is a new networking series established to collaborate between the KAUST Industry Innovation Partnerships Office and select profiles of industry partners. The program runs quarterly for a full-day agenda at the KAUST campus or at the organization's site, depending on the needs. The program provides the participants an opportunity to meet with a significant number of KAUST faculty, research scientists, students, and the community to address its challenges and create collaboration opportunities.The first MTI event was on October 14th, 2021, with the Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC), the KICP member & KAUST Research Park tenant, and the upcoming MTI events in 2022 with BOING and MODON.Shortly, my role is managing the program from A to Z.

The annual KIAB conference is an opportunity for the (KICP) board members to meet annually and to put the University's research, education, and economic development activities at the center of a two-day discussion with industry partners on campus. KIAB is an excellent platform for making a professional network with the high-level profiles from the external attendees such as Excellencies, CEOs, CTOs, Phds, and KAUST's management and professors.Been working for more than 6 KIAB conferences so far, since 2015 has given me a chance to meet with the board KICP members in person at the KAUST campus and develop lots of my professional skills.Tasks and responsibilities.Playing a perfect role in developing the agenda program, Suggesting and working in providing influencer keynote speakers matching the conference topic. Invite all the KICP board members to attend the KIAB conference and contact them to provide all the members' requirements. Providing good hospitality for all the conference attendees at the KAUST campus. Managing all the VIP logistics arrangements for all the conference attendees. Providing assistant in the conference requirements such as theme design, audiovisual provider, giveaways, exhibition, etc. Helping in collecting attendees' feedback about the conference and in developing executive reports.

Since 2015 of been working with the KICP membership program, which was created in 2009 to help companies leverage the University's human and technological resources. The program assists industry in finding tailored ways to help access KAUST and transform business needs into innovative products, processes, and the technologies of tomorrow.Membership in the KICP comprises two categories, strategic partner and honorary member.The strategic partnership is for industry, and the honorary membership is available only to the relevant Saudi government and quasi-government agencies. Extending KICP Honorary membership to these agencies depends mainly on their engagement level with KAUST, their alignment with KAUST's economic development mission, and/or on industry members' recommendations.Companies interested in joining KICP are expected to commit to a long-term relationship so that both KAUST and KICP partners have the opportunity to benefit from this partnership fully. Annual membership fees are used to deliver various benefits and services to KICP members, support KICP initiatives and KAUST-wide initiatives.Today, there are over 20 KICP member companies: @Air Products; @Halliburton; @Lockheed Martin; @SABIC; @Saudi Aramco; @NIDC; @KAPSARC; @K.A.Care; @SWCC; @SEC; @Taqnia; @Ministry of Investment; @NIDLP; @Monsha'at and @Royal Commission Al Ula.

Organize VIP visits and events for the Industry and Partnerships Office with collaboration visitors, industry partners, division workshops, symposiums, conferences/seminars, VIP Delegations, and event visitors.Maintaining working relationships and coordinating internal logistical support with relevant departments such as Government Affairs, Human Resources, University Events and Communications, Transportation, Guest Services, Campus Support, Security, and the President’s Office.Scheduling and organizing complex agendas. Coordinating with Public relations and marketing for all events. Updating and maintaining CRM with business, industry, and government entities.

Working in the critical department providing customer services at KAUST by receiving multiple client requests, assigning team members tasks, and coordinating marketing projects and activities as requested.Meeting with clients and other stakeholders to assist in their needs in media, designs, announcements, flyers, brochures, posters, and events.Working closely with service providers (such as event companies) to meet marketing needs as requested.Organizing the production of branded items such as stationery materials and Giveaways.Collaborating with the design department to produce additional marketing communications materials, such as flyers, brochures, slides, etc.Assisting in preparing KAUST internal and external events such as boot camps, hackathons, exhibitions, workshops, and conferences.

Working on the King Abdullah Gifted Students Program (KGSP) scholarship program for Saudi high-school students.Provide clear information about scholarship programs to parents, prospective students, and donors; explain eligibility criteria and assist students and parents in completing financial aid applications and scholarships.Developing and preparing scholarship applications and recruitment materials and creating a database of the students' profiles.Responsible for students's registration, filtration, interviews, exams, and completed documents.Preparing the students for their scholarship in terms of helping them in issuing the US visa, medical report, housing contract, and flight ticket.Assisting in scheduling and planning scholarship events, such as orientation, workshops, annual events, and graduation.Working closely with the advisories, and the Ministry of Education, and the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission (SACM) to track students' status.
