As a Community Service Librarian at South Waikato District Council since June 2021, I apply my Master's degree in Biology and my skills in strategic planning and research to support the community's information and learning needs. I work with a diverse team of librarians and other staff to develop and deliver programs and services that promote literacy, education, and culture in the region. I also collaborate with local schools, organizations, and groups to provide access to quality resources and guidance on various topics, especially in the field of biology and environmental sciences. My mission is to empower the community with knowledge and skills that can enhance their well-being and opportunities.
