Worked with editorial management team to vet and edit content that was published on ThePrint website and social media handles. Coordinated between reporters, bureau heads and the editorial desk to improve content and workflow. Ideated on visual presentation and social media strategy. As a result, a typical day required working with multiple teams across news cycles covering a wide range of issues pertaining to politics, governance, development issues, health, judiciary, education, science and technology.

As part of the real-time news desk for HT's website, largely worked on tracking news developments and social media. Breaking news and story trends were key focus areas. Worked with a team of 10 people across multiple news cycles, and organised news workflow and processes.

Worked as the editor for a 10-page abridged edition of the Hindustan Times, which targeted first-generation English speakers among Hindustan readers. It required running KYC surveys to understand readers as they transitioned from a Hindi to English readership. After a year of running the edition, became part of the process of HT integrating its traditional print operations with its digital end product. Worked with an Integrated Copy Desk that became a nodal hub for content that was created for print but produced for digital. Eventually, moved to the web news desk where we exclusively created content for the HT website.

Hyderabad Area, India

Started as a sub-editor and reporter for the Hyderabad City Express edition that focused on local news, human interest stories and feature & lifestyle pieces. Working with a team of three people, I became responsible for the edition going to print. This involved tracking news developments, coordinating with the city bureau, ideating feature spreads, working on stories for daily publication while also planning ahead for big news days. Was also part of the page making process, working with designers and creating page spreads. In the time I was here, I also worked on several advertorial spreads, which included coordinating between the editorial, marketing and design team.
