Projects worked on:Release testing of Amazon games application and website testing of new game detail pages on amazon.com.Project Description: The Amazon Games App Quality Assurance team works on testing the gaming software and backend services tied to downloads, installs, purchases and performance. The internal customers are the development and the product team that are building the platform. The external customers are any gamers that are consuming/playing the games that Amazon releases. The QA team performs end to end testing of both the application and new game detail pages.Responsibilities: Creation and execution of new test run for each release of the amazon games application.Creation and execution of new test run for new game detail pages.Test case reporting using test rail and logging bugs using JIRA.Following up on the bug fixes with development team.Maintaining the test suite by updating/adding to the existing test cases.Regression testing for each release of the Amazon games application and game detail pages.Participating in team training/knowledge sharing sessions to help the team understand/cover certain areas of testing better.Creating daily tasks and assisting the team in individual task assignment and communicating the progress. Following up with the team in case of blockers or issues and helping with resolution.Project monitoring - Collaborating with the development team to understand the schedule of new releases and working with the team to handle the test run execution and completion on time.Collaboration/Support- attending development team stand-ups to understand upcoming features and communicating back to the QA team.Testing of Amazon games app related features such as Free games with Prime and Twitch desktop app migration.Participating in bug bashes and launch-readiness meetings.

Projects worked on:Release testing of individual advertisements for the Amazon and IMDb websites, the Amazon and IMDb mobile apps, Kindle eReaders, and Fire tablets:Project Description: The Amazon Media Group Quality Assurance team works on advertising for Amazon.com, Kindle Special Offers, and amazon Mobile Advertisements. Advertising QA system helps millions of Amazon customers to reduce their costs daily by ensuring that advertisements meet our high quality standards. Software QA team test code at the user level, both manually and with automated tools using black box and gray box testing techniques. Responsibilities:• Testing Amazon house Advertisements on various amazon devices like Kindle eReaders , Fire tablets and mobile devices.• Testing Client paid Advertisements on various amazon devices like Kindle eReaders and Fire tablets.• Test case reporting using test rail.• Execution of test cases which includes: o Clearing up of Advertisements on devices prior to pushing new Advertisements using internal Ad management tools.o Pushing Advertisements onto the devices using in-house scripts.o Manual execution of pre-documented test cases on the devices (Fire and eReaders).o Running automation for a subset of test cases on Fire tablets.o Covering Advertisements across multiple marketplaces/locales.• Logging bugs using JIRA.• Following up on the bugs with respective Ad traffickers and designers.• Updating the test suite in case of new test scenarios.• Planning and prioritization of time sensitive Advertisements based on the Ad release date.• Testing and managing multiple Advertisements in parallel during peak times.

Website Testing of New Device Detail pages:Project Description: The Online Device Sales team owns the Kindle Device experience on Amazon’s website, constantly experimenting and innovating to improve the customer experience. The QA team owns maintaining the quality of the Amazon Detail pages of New Devices and their accessories on targeted marketplaces on PC,Mobile and Tablet Device browsers.Responsibilities include:- Understanding the requirements and writing Test plan for Detail page website testing of new devices based on Business Requirement Document (BRD).- Writing detailed test cases and holding test case review meetings.- Manual Execution of the Fuctional test cases on various Mobile(ios and Android) and Desktop browsers and OS versions.- Logging defects using JIRA.- Attending defect discussions and triage calls with Developers and Product Managers. - Manual execution of Regression test cases and bug follow-up.- Organizing Bug bashes with related teams to track down the bugs.- Performing leak test on unreleased device Detail pages.- Attending Pre-launch meetings to discuss QA activities during launch.- Attending Launch war room meetings and performing Sanity tests during launch.- Planning and Prioritization of test cases to be executed on the day of the launch. - Tracking Post launch issues and following up until closure.
