Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS): Conducting detailed research work on top twelve centrally sponsored schemes in the country by analyzing the special purpose fiscal transfers, process analysis and impact evaluation. Result of the project, funded by IFMR Foundation, are four page scheme briefs highlighting the problems in design and delivery mechanisms along with providing suitable recommendations. Ecological and social -economic assessment of the grazing ban in Sikkim (in collaboration with Forest Environment and Wildlife Management Department,Sikkim): Involved in desk research as well as fieldwork to examine the extent of impact of the grazing ban on socio-economic as well environmental characteristics. Worked on GIS images of the region to detect change in vegetation since ban implementation.Involved in developing a livelihood framework as well as questionnaires as well as data collection and analysis for social impact assessment.Baseline study of Environment Conscious Citizen : The state level study establishes base line information on environmental awareness in the state.Publications : 1. An IUCN initiative ,the project involved to identfy the various income genration activities to be implemented in the Yamuna nagar district of Haryana.A feasibility study along with the willingness analysis was to be conducted so as to ease the implementation process.
