The project examined the bioenergy production potential for cooking and electricity production and its impact on rural socioeconomic, deforestation and climate change. - Led the designing, execution and analysis survey on the availability of residues from the agro-processing industry in Turkey to estimate the potential to produce bioenergy in coordination with the research institute of the Ministry of Agriculture in Turkey.- Led the implementation of the 'environmental sustainability assessment in the potato value chain in Rwanda'. A part of an EU funded project that aims to develop a sustainable potato value chain in Rwanda and 6 other African countries.- In collaboration with USAID and GIZ, developed a detailed analysis of energy requirements, and possible clean-energy solutions that are economically viable and environmentally sustainable, along three agricultural value chains— milk/dairy, rice and vegetables. - Member of the FAO working group to develop the SDG indicator 2.4.1 (Proportion of agricultural area underproductive and sustainable agriculture- Member of a task group to develop Codes of Conduct on Food Loss and Food Waste.
