I was born in 2001, and I immigrated to Canada in 2016. I've always been a car enthusiast; which led me to pursue a career in engineering. I had the opportunity to do my bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering from Ontario Tech University (formerly known as University of Ontario Institute of Technology).Through my university, I had the wonderful opportunity to complete a 16-month internship with Honda of Canada Manufacturing (HCM). To say that working at Honda was an eye-opening experience is an understatement. I learned the true responsibility and weight of being a project leader and engineer while working there. I also had the amazing opportunity to be a member of HCM's volunteer racing team; Velocity Motorsports Club (VMC). Being a part of that team ignited my passion for motorsports. Working as a team and leading teammates, collecting and processing data track-side; and processing driver feedback and implementing changes were all skills I attained while working with the racing team.After my internship was over, I requested permission from HCM and VMC to allow me to use one of VMC's racing cars as a part of my 4th year final capstone project. With the support of VMC, my teammates, and my university, I was able to bring that project to fruition by creating an aerodynamic package based on CFD and wind tunnel data. I consider myself truly lucky to have been able to do such an interesting project. I'm now back at HCM after finishing my bachelor's degree working as an equipment engineer in the Vehicle Quality (VQ) department. I'm also working with VMC to learn more about motorsports and racing!Looking forward to learning and growing more through my experiences!
