About Manda Mcfetrick

Over the past twenty years, I have studied, lectured and practiced in the field of design, pursuing leading-edge projects in experiential disciplines, visual storytelling, immersive environments, design & development, architecture, identity and place-making.Today my role is as Portfolio Creative Lead for Airbnb. Prior, I led and co-created the creative design and execution of world-class experiential projects for Imagineering at The Walt Disney Company’s Parks, Experiences & Products. Previous to joining Disney, I served as Senior Associate and Director of Development for the globally recognized urban design firm, James Corner Field Operations, responsible for some of the world’s most successful urban design projects, including their design vision of the High Line in New York City and Tongva Park in Santa Monica. Prior to that, I was an Associate Senior Designer at !melk landscape architecture and urban design, a firm with an intent focus on strategic development and acquisition, while subsequently leading many prominent international projects requiring a unique vision and expertise to both envision and execute successful developments and designs. These include the design of Pier 57 / “Superpier” skypark and promenade in New York City, the design of Phoenix’s largest urban downtown project, the award-winning Hance Park, the waterfront master-plan for Hunter’s Point Shipyard and Candlestick point in San Francisco, and Citylife in Milan, among others.Personally, I enjoy traveling, meeting and connecting people together, and look forward to continuing to find new opportunities to create untapped, wondrous, and innovative projects.
