Dr. Mandeep Pathak, is an orthopedic surgeon and leader in trauma and surgical care behind Nyaya Health Nepal. In his role, he provides high-quality structured teaching and mentorship to the medical teams regarding surgical and non-surgical orthopedic services; works to develop protocols for surgical and non-surgical orthopedic services; and develop national and global best practices for orthopedic care delivery in rural, marginalized settings such as Achham and Dolakha. Prior to joining Nyaya Health Nepal, he served as the senior resident in southern Philippines medical center, the Philippines where he led orthopedic care for orthopaedic and trauma patients. He envisions a world to get quality and affordable orthopaedic and trauma care and is driving the change forward. He earned a masters in orthopedic surgery from southern Philippines medical center, Philippines, a fellowship in orthopedic oncology from University Malaya Medical Center, Malaysia. Outside of Nyaya Health Nepal, you can find him working with other orthopaedic oncologist in tertiary centers, performing complex orthopaedic onco-surgical procedures and limb reconstructions or mountain biking along the rough terrains of Achham and Dolakha.
