Supervision of Intensive Family Preservation Speaclists serving families at High Risk for Out of Home Placement by the State of NC in New Hanover, Pender, Brunswick, Duplin, Sampson, Bladen, Robeson and Columbus counties.

Intensive Family Preservation Services (IFPS) are concentrated, in-home services designed to prevent unnecessary out-of-home placement of children. Families are referred at the point where an out-of-home placement is imminent. Referrals may come from a variety of child and family-serving systems including child welfare, mental health, juvenile justice, and developmental disabilities. In home contact with families occurs within 24 hours of referral. IFPS therapists receive special training to provide 8–10 hours of services per week to families which include a mix of counseling, teaching skills, and help with basic needs. Therapists serve only a few families at a time and are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Services are provided for 4–6 weeks.

Assist families and adolescences to prevent out of home placement. Provide therapy and coping skills for family to connect and develop healthily relationships. Partner with Department of Social Services and Department of Juvenile Justice in Pender and New Hanover County. Document progress of client while applying interventions based on Person Centered Plans.

Promote and educate consumers on products. Provide education on advertising and quality of product label such as Non gmo, cold pressed, gluten free, organic, etc. interact with consumers. Follow general safety / sanitary guidelines. It's more of a Hobby than work. I love learning about the product in which I promote!

Monitor and document the status of the recipent's progress annd the effectiveness of the strategies and interventioins outlined in Person Centered Plans. Consults with medical and non-medical providers. Provides Intensive In-Home services to children and families.

Human Service Coordinator: Vocational Rehabilitation Services; provide services to help individuals become placement ready through therapy, overcoming barriers to employment, and find placement.Partner with Kittrell Job Corps Center in Kittrell, NC working with at risk, mental health and developmental delayed children/adolescences. Development written analysis plans based on medical records (psychological reports) and development of Individuals plans for employment with the consumer to provide the quality of life desired.
