Mandi Wilkins is a seasoned, astute professional who is well-versed in the unique challenges inherent to non-profit construction trade associations. She has held various leadership roles in this niche industry since February 2000.Currently, she oversees the day-to-day operations of the Mechanical Contractors Association of Las Vegas (MCA) and the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association of Southern Nevada (SMACNA) in her role as executive vice president. She unwaveringly represents and promotes the interests of mechanical contractors signatory to the UA Local 525 Plumbers and Pipefitters and SMART Local 88 Sheet Metal Workers.Wilkins is responsible for the handling of all laborrelations matters, including but not limited to, contract negotiations, grievances and related arbitrations. Under her leadership she sets and executes the Associations’ government affairs initiatives and strategies. She spends considerable time at the Nevada State Legislature each biennium to aid positive outcomes for construction and construction-related employers.Wilkins currently sits as a management trustee on six multi-employer trust funds. She also serves as a director on the boards of the Health Services Coalition (HSC) and the Nevada Board of Plumbing Examiners (NBOPE).Wilkins is also a founding member of the Unified Construction Industry Council (UCIC), a labor management cooperation committee which rooted in 2015, and served on both the organization’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee until October 2019.
