This is a volunteer position supporting the troops and families of Bravo Co 334 BSB located out of the armory in Cedar Rapids.

• Keep the minutes for the Iowa Section Board Meetings and distribute them to Board for review and acceptance before submitting them to the Communications Director to be published on the website.
• Print PDH Certificates and maintain a record of attendance for the Iowa Section’s joint meetings with the various student and YMG groups.

• Perform aspects of design required in the production of urban sanitary sewer, urban storm sewer, roadway and trail plans including vertical and horizontal alignments and final plan assembly. Ensure that the proposed.
• Coordinate information from various agencies and the client and incorporate this information in the final design plan.
• Assist in answering project related questions.
• Provide Technicians with instructions and guidance.
• Extensive CADD and computer experience using MicroStation, GEOPAK, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.

• Assist the Section Engineer in the daily operations of the section.
• Review design plans for transportation projects.
• Attend field exam reviews for highway projects assigned to the section.
• Perform all aspects of design required in the production of rural and urban highway plans including vertical and horizontal alignments, developing cross sections, design of interchanges, intersections, and drainage.
• Coordinate information from various offices and divisions of the DOT and sections of the Office of Design and incorporate this information in the final design plan.
• Coordinate information from various outside agencies and the public.
