Armando Alvarez is a partner and friendly creative director at Hello Amigo. With 19 years of experience across both print and digital communications, Armando has been using creativity to affect business change for both small and large clients. Experience in various industries has brought different challenges that continually shape his approach and deliverables. Having graduated from Al Collins Graphic Design School in 1999 with a degree in Visual Communications, Armando began his career as a graphic designer at SmartPractice, a medical and real estate marketing company, in Phoenix, Arizona. After four years, he accepted an offer as a senior graphic designer at International Cruise & Excursions, Inc. where he worked with clients such as Royal Caribbean International, Carnival and Holland America Line.In 2004 Armando moved to El Paso, Texas to become the creative director at the El Paso Magazine. Three years later, he started Viva Creative Group, an advertising agency that later merged with Impulse Development in 2013 to offer a complete set of marketing services to their clients, with a focus on strategy development, identity creation, design, web development, print advertising, digital advertising, social media management and more.Armando’s creative work has led to over 80 ADDY awards and having his work published in leading design books and featured in online design galleries through out the years.Armando has also been involved in three startup companies including Tembloroso Creative Lab where he has designed for nationally know bands such as Sparta, Sleepercar and At The Drive-In. Armando also played professional soccer with the El Paso Patriots for three years before attending college and devoting his career to creative solutions.
