Led a team of cloud platform architects designing patterns for migrating on premise capabilities to GCP. Capability architecture patterns created for access control, data acquisition, data cataloguing, encryption & obfuscation, export & extend data, and perimeter security using GCP VPC-SC. Defining the cloud technology strategy to support upcoming portfolio needs and review new cloud capabilities against business needs. Established an innovation team to explore, evaluate and bring in new technologies such as Starburst which is used as a query engine to federate queries across various sources.

Project: Intelligent RecommendationsDesigned the API and cloud architecture for the Intelligent Recommendations capability which is estimated to provide tens of £m upside opportunity for 2020. The API makes use of GCP App Engine, Cloud SQL and ML and has been designed to comply with security policies and GDPR regulations. Project: Personalised RecommendationsDeveloped a prototype using Node.js and React which was deployed on Google Cloud Platform and used a combination of Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Cloud SQL, App Engine and BigQuery. This web application prototype utilised model scores and customer profile information to provide personalised product recommendations for customers and was trialled with 60 call centre agents enabling the business to make decisions on the core capabilities required for Intelligent Recommendations MVP. Project: Offer ControlDesigned and implemented the Decisioning capability which enabled Sky to move from a one to many engagement with customers to a personalised approach for providing offer management. The platform has been built to provide high availability, provides decisions with very low latency and utilises business rules and modelling to enable decisions. The Offer Control solution is used by agents across various call centres and enables tens of £m in benefit every year.

Led a fantastic team of developers in the development of Web Applications such as a reporting portal for Viewing and AdSmart data and the Insight Anytime portal used by thousands of users across Sky for viewing insights and analysis to enable decisions.
