Mandy brings life to any project she works on, exuding passion and creativity towards helping others build their business or through training and coaching to gain skills to become successful social entrepreneurs. She has over 15 years of experience working in the private sector and being an entrepreneur herself she can channel her experience into mentoring for would-be social entrepreneurs. In her new role as a Social Enterprise Developer, she is building a collaborative culture and helping social enterprises which comes easy to Mandy, from her community involvement, leadership skills, years of experience in developing business plans, sitting on a number of advisory committees, and a long time board member. Working with diverse groups she is helping to shape the future of social entrepreneurship in New Brunswick and is an enthusiastic ambassador of social change. Mandy is currently part of the leadership team that is developing the collaborative systems for the future Social Enterprise Hub. The Hub is a 15,000 sq ft three story building being constructed in one of Saint John’s priority neighbourhoods. It brings together enterprising non-profit organizations, micro-enterprises, and social enterprises under one roof. It is about neighborhood renewal non-profit collaboration, training for work, and enterprise incubation. As a social enterprise developer she is working directly with a couple of the social enterprise tenants on growing their customers and revenues, and working with the team to create the absolute best environment for incubating other social enterprises in the Hub, and really, across the Province. Her work balances between focused work with specific social enterprises, and broader work in developing the ecosystem.
